Sources of official statistics

Many government departments and public bodies produce official statistics. The table below lists the main producers, but it is not a complete list.

Official statistics that are assessed as fully compliant with the Code (that is, they meet the highest standards of trustworthiness, quality and value) are designated as National Statistics by the Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR).
